HOW WE IMPACT THE PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT

The Students for Life Field Agent program is one of the most effective programs in the country. First, because it costs so little money. And, secondly, because it works in the area of most need.

Planned Parenthood is counting on college campuses for TWO things: clients and voters. Students for Life undercuts them in both ways. That’s why we work on college campuses. We want to impact college students from a peer-to-peer perspective and reduce abortions and increase pro-life voters while we train future pro-life leaders.

Our Field Agent program helps develop Students for Life chapters that EDUCATE women that abortionists are targeting, AND our field agent program provides structure to chapters to IMPACT THE ELECTION.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Recruit your friends to the “Abolish Abortion” cause in Facebook!

We have a donor who wants to see how many people we can get on the “Abolish Abortion” cause. Right now, we have 125,000 members. If you can help us to reach 250,000, this donor will provide the funding for ONE FIELD AGENT. This means we will have an agent trained and in the heartland of America helping to impact college campuses.

HOW A FIELD AGENT IMPACTS THE ELECTION (and beyond!)

Students for Life helps campus groups by providing them with training and resources so that they can:
• effectively recruit members
• properly educate other students
• raise money for events and speakers
• work with liberal faculty
• register and mobilize voters in KEY STATES
• plan and run kick-butt events
• draw nationally-recognized guest speakers to campus
• and more!

By recruiting other people to the “Abolish Abortion” cause, you will help put a trained Field Agent to work and impact 45 college campuses!

Did you know there are college groups that want to be “pro-life” but they don’t know how to recruit members? Or worse yet, some groups get started, but two years later, when everyone graduates, the groups have to start over. Our Field Agents help make sure the group keeps going year after year.

CAN WE GROW?

This graph shows the membership growth for another group in Facebook. They went from zero to 80,000 in 2 months! And from what I remember in my Calculus class in college, that’s called “exponential.” Right now, we have 125,000 members in our cause. With a little push, we think that can double.

THE IMPACT OF THIS PROJECT

Since its start in 2006, Students for Life has helped start 194 NEW campus pro-life groups… bringing the total to 442 groups nation-wide. By getting one more field agent, we can reach 45 new campuses. And we’re targeting states strategically, so that we can have the most impact on the election.

Look at the map to the right. Can you believe that these states represent 106 Electoral Votes? I remember from my PoliSci class in college that we need 270 Electoral Votes to keep a pro-life White House. These states in blue are all “in play.” This means that MoveOn.org wants them bad. And they could win them, too. All but two of the states in blue here went to the “George W. Bush” column in 2004. We can’t afford to lose 3 of these states this year!
