Kristan HawkinsKristan Hawkins, Executive Director
As Executive Director, Kristan is responsible for managing the daily operations of SFLA as well as its other employees. In addition, Kristan serves as the organization’s official spokeswoman and has appeared on the Fox News Channel show Hannity & Colmes; she has also been quoted in numerous national and regional newspapers. In addition, she speaks to youth and adult pro-life organizations across the country. She came to SFLA after serving as a political appointee in the Bush administration at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiative. Kristan founded and served as President of both her high school and college pro-life organizations. She has also worked on the Bush/Cheney 2004 campaign and at the Republican National Committee. She currently hosts the syndicated radio show “On Campus with Students for Life” on National Pro-life Radio and is a co-host on the tv show, LifeTalk. In 2008, Kristan was awarded the Susan B. Anthony Young Leader Award and the Dr. William Hogan Education Award for her pro-life leadership. Kristan is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Bethany College in West Virginia. She resides in Martinsburg, West Virginia with her husband, Jonathan. They are expecting their first child in January of 2009. Email Kristan.

Liz is a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, where she double-majored in Business Marketing and Theology. At Franciscan, she held several campus leadership roles, was a student government senator, served on 4 mission trips and was honored as “Senior of the Year.” Liz worked as a SFLA Field Agent for two semesters in PA, GA, and FL. She began working for SFLA full time in April 2007 as Development Coordinator and has since been promoted to Development Director. Liz oversees all of SFLA’s fundraising efforts including direct mail, telemarketing, online campaigns, grant solicitation, and event planning. She also provides regular guidance to SFLA campus groups on fundraising efforts and instructs numerous groups on fundraising techniques through workshops and lectures at campus conferences across the country. Rebecca, from Michigan, has always been moved to help the defenseless. She founded the pro-life club at her high school and since then has campaigned for many pro-life politicians. Rebecca graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville where she majored in history. Email Rebecca.

Sarah received her B.A. from Old Dominion University in 2004 and her M.A. in Government from Regent University in 2006. She has experience organizing and motivating pro-lifers as she has worked on five political campaigns in her home state of Virginia. While in college, she also served in several leadership positions as a member of her sorority. Email Sarah.

Lucy McVickerLucy McVicker, Operations Director
Lucy came to work for Students for Life of America in April 2008 after graduating from Portland State University with a Bachelors of Science in Arts and Letters and a minor in Spanish. She has been active in the Portland pro-life community since she was in 7th grade and was the chair of Portland State Students for Life for a year and a half and founded and chaired Students for Life of Oregon – the state-wide group, as well as holding various leadership positions on campus.
