Hundreds of students and community members gathered in Annapolis MD on Monday April 3rd to rally as Voices for the Vulnerable during the MD National Pro-Life March. With the original MD National Pro-Life March date being cancelled due to a winter storm, students were not discouraged. Students marched strong and joined to rally along with supportive pro-life legislators in MD, Michele Hendrickson Eastern Regional Director of Students for Life of America, and David Bereit former CEO of 40 Days for Life.
Not only did students march with their baby socks proudly pinned, but they also presented 100 baby socks during the main rally. With 888 abortions performed per day at Planned Parenthood, 100 socks represented about how many lives were lost at Planned Parenthood during the duration of the march. Students lined up in front of the stage to display the socks on “We Don’t Need Planned Parenthood” signs and declare just that: We Don’t Need Planned Parenthood!
Currently, legislation is passing in MD to continue funding of Planned Parenthood with MD taxpayer dollars no matter what happens at a federal level. Students made it clear on Monday that they are not happy about a decision that misrepresents the pro-life youth movement in their state. MD students are ready to continue the fight for LIFE and continue exposing the truth about Planned Parenthood.
