If you’re standing up, you’d better sit down because this will BLOW your mind: the founder of a skeezy sex/dating site wants to pay for people’s abortions.
Oh, yes. The founder of Seeking Arrangement, a platform for creepy old men (‘sugar daddies’) to locate young women who are into creepy old men (‘sugar babies’), has offered to pay for the abortions of anyone from states that have passed abortion laws. This philanthropist is Brandon Wade, whose own girlfriend is from Alabama and was supposedly quite distraught when the state decided that its preborn people have rights.
Christian Post wrote that they “contacted Seeking Arrangement on Tuesday for comment regarding the financial details of Wade’s offer and asked if he’s also going to have a minimum age requirement or screen for victims of abuse, but those questions went unanswered.” Who needs stuff like that anyway? Planned Parenthood doesn’t care about that stuff and they’re #1 for selling abortions so they must know what they’re doing.
Wade posted a video of himself on YouTube, which initially got a whopping (less than) 300 views, explaining how he was launching this abortion-funding ‘charity.’ He and his distraught girlfriend decided to call this charity ‘Fight Against Poverty.’ FINALLY, someone is taking a stand against poverty by funding the killing of potential poor people. It was about time for this kind of innovation.
“In the interest of ‘fairness,’ you would think he would also offer child support and college tuition for those who choose life for their babies,” said SFLA’s Kristi Hamrick. “This publicity stunt ignores two important facts. One, that abortion harms women, and two, that babies deserve better.”
This new venture must be exciting for Wade’s following of sugar daddies in states like Georgia, Alabama, & Missouri who might have otherwise had to take responsibility for using women. Now, his sugar daddies can just use women’s bodies at will, then ask Wade to pay for their child’s termination (and possibly even their sugar baby’s infertility, PTSD, or hemorrhage-related death). Win-win!
Oh, but Wade isn’t completely devoid of moral fiber. In fact, he’s prided himself on being quite reasonable about his venture to pay for strangers to end the lives of their children. He is so noble that he made sure to mention there would be a three-month cutoff for this offer. “The goal here is not to take any extreme positions but to actually provide a reasonable one,” Wade said. “If we give people three months, that’s a reasonable amount of time to make a decision that’s the right choice for themselves.”
So like, somewhere in this range.
You know, reasonable. Like this 13-week clump here:
We know that everyone decides individually when the human rights of other people commence. History has shown us that nothing bad can ever happen when we use that system. So if Wade says three months is reasonable, then three months it is! What kind of monsters would we be if we said something unreasonable like ‘we shouldn’t suck that guy out with a vacuum or reach in with a sopher clamp and just start pulling?’ Gosh, some people.
Maybe between 12 and 14 weeks, something magic happens and this reasonable parameter becomes unreasonable. We at Students for Life have been going about our mission as if human beings always have human rights, but in light of new evidence that Wade may know something we don’t about that transition into the second trimester… who knows. Maybe we’ll have to re-brand ourselves ‘Students for Life, Which Is Reasonable to End Until Day One of the Second Trimester, of America.’ Follow us on social media (Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram) to stay abreast of any breaking news on this front.
