“Why would we allow anyone to operate a surgical center like a child’s lemonade stand, set up without proper protections, just because an abortion vendor wants to be in business?” said SFLA’s Lily Hutkowski.
SOUTH BEND, IN (6-14-19) – Local Indiana pro-life groups have announced a rally for Saturday, June 15th in South Bend, Indiana, in response to the opening of an unlicensed abortion facility operated by Whole Woman’s Health Alliance. “Risking Hoosiers’ lives by operating an unmonitored, unregulated, and undercover abortion vendor is irresponsible and sets up a house of card in our community that will end in a deadly collapse on the people who go there,” said Lily Hutkowski, Indiana Regional Coordinator with Students for Life of America, one of the speakers at the coming event. “Why would we allow anyone to operate a surgical center like a child’s lemonade stand, set up without proper protections, just because an abortion vendor wants to be in business?”
The rally will take place from 1:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. eastern at St. John School (3616 St. Johns Way, South Bend IN). Prominent pro-life speakers like Ryan Bomberger (Radiance Foundation), Destiny Herndon-De La Rosa (New Wave Feminists), & Eric Scheidler (Pro-Life Action League) will address participants.
“Women’s safety should not be taking a back seat to abortion,” said SFLA President Kristan Hawkins. “Not now, not ever. Pro-life people in South Bend and beyond are outraged that abortion facilities think the law doesn’t apply to them. Just look at Missouri’s reprehensible St. Louis Planned Parenthood that refuses to comply with simple health regulations and expects to stay open anyway.”
