Every Life is Purposeful, Loved, & Valuable

We discover the foundation of justiceĀ in the fact that all humans are equal and have the right to be treated with dignity. We breathe in justice when we hold onto the truth that every human is made purposeful and worthy, from conception to the legacy they leave. We see the blinding light of justice when we give babies the chance to be born; and when we give black men the chance to live.

Justice is no trend. Justice is the bedrock of the land of the free and the home of the brave. Tolerating the killing of vulnerable populations creates a culture where freedom no longer exists and bravery is misinterpreted. Frederick Douglass stated, ā€œWhere justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppressā€¦ neither persons nor property will be safe.ā€

Many have said, ā€œI donā€™t see color,ā€ but we must open our eyes to the ignorances we might have about the injustices and the oppression black men and women face in society today, or else we sacrifice the safety of ourselves and others.

Though only 13% of the American population is black, black deaths account for 24% of police brutality incidents.Ā  And we acknowledge black human life has been degraded continuously throughout history. According to a Vital Statistics report in 2015, 24,108 babies were birthed by black women; but abortions surpassed live births by nearly 5,000. The abortion industry ended more lives in new York than those birthed.

The statement ā€œI donā€™t see color,ā€ allows us to turn a blind eye to the complex racial issues in society. We do see your color and want to preserve it. The Pro-Life Generation mourns the death of George Floyd; and we stand consistent in saying that every life is purposeful, loved, & valuable — from the womb and beyond.

We hold tight to the words and wisdom of Abraham Lincoln: ā€œWith Malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation’s wounds.ā€ We stand with you.
