SFLA-SFLAction Engaged in 10-STATE Tour in support of a #Justice4Life; Face Violence from Abortion Zealots who Denounce ACB’s Faith and Family.

“Since 1973, supporting the candidate who gets to appoint Supreme Court Justices has motivated people to prioritize abortion as a reason to vote,” said SFLA/SFLAction’s Kristan Hawkins. “And at Students for Life, we are in the business of educating and activating single issue voters.”

WASHINGTON D.C. – (10-22-20) – As Students for Life of America and SFLAction crisscross the country leading events in support of the confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett for the 9th seat on the Supreme Court, SFLA/SFLAction President Kristan Hawkins spoke from Pennsylvania where she was calling for voters to #VoteProLifeFirst and urging support for Judge Barrett, whose nomination to the Supreme Court has now been sent from the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee to the full Senate where a vote is expected Monday. Hawkins observed, “This is a great day. Our team has worked tirelessly throughout this election cycle to meet people where they are so that we can advocate for a society in which the lives of human beings are protected from conception to natural death. Today’s vote in the Judiciary Committee is a great reminder of why millions of Americans vote pro-life first. Since 1973, supporting the candidate who gets to appoint Supreme Court Justices has motivated people to prioritize abortion as a reason to vote. And at Students for Life, we are in the business of educating and activating single issue voters. If the deaths of about 62 million Americans over the last 50 years does not bother you, you’re not our candidate and you don’t deserve our vote.”

SFLA/SFLAction shifted into high gear in support of a Supreme Court Justice who would respect life in law, setting up a SCOTUS Squad, who has been in the nation’s capital in support of ACB. Click here to see part of an ABC Nightline segment on the team.

FREE SPEECH UNDER ATTACK: The Students for Life team has been met with violence and aggression over the last weeks as we have advocated for a pro-life culture. To learn more on that, click here to see aggressive vandalism against those holding signs at the Supreme Court on Saturday. “The violence of abortion is leading to violent actions from those who support the callous destruction of pre-born life. Free speech is fundamental to our American society, and the freedom to assemble and petition our government must not be eradicated by mob rule,” said Hawkins. “Students for Life is known for exercising our First Amendment liberties. And we will not be silent in this pivotal election or in defense of this important pick for the Supreme Court.”

MEDIA NOTE: For critics who argue that Judge Barrett’s background includes pro-life associations, an abortion viewpoint is not unusual for Supreme Court nominees. Click here to read Hawkins’ op-ed at RealClearPolitics on how abortion views have been ignored for past nominees – such as Ginsburg, Sotomayor and Kagan. Click here to read Hawkins’ op-ed at Fox News outlining how feminist opposition to Barrett’s nomination doesn’t line up with the views of most women.
